Health Economics Research
This project aimed to critically evaluate the comparative efficacy and safety profiles of off-label medications used to treat food allergies in pediatric populations. In contrasting off-label uses against standard, on-label treatments, the current landscape of allergy management in children can be comprehensively assessed. This research addresses ethical considerations, relevant literature, and discusses key factors that healthcare providers must also consider before prescribing off-label treatments. This analysis highlights the potential benefits and risks associated with off-label drug use for pediatric food allergies, offering insights into best practices and identifying areas in need of further research. Econometric analysis was conducted using statistical computing software Stata.
